Completed Sites
J-Brit is a new online magazine that allows users to create articles, post comments, and participate in an online forum. The site features user profiles, messaging, RSS feeds to keep users up-to-date, lots of 'clever' features and Web 2.0 design touches.
Fibrecomp are a carbon fibre manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of fibre-based products. Their old web site was difficult to maintain and had to be re-written every time a new product was to be added. The blueskyweb solution was to replace the site with a database driven site that generates everything automatically, complete with an administrative section that allows for products and categories to be added and edited as required.
Bramdean.NET is a leading software distributor. As part of their site re-vamp, they wanted a database driven site that could be easily updated, searchable and simple to use. In addition, the site features PayPal integration and full administration console.
Elena needed a new site for gig promotions and mailing list sign-ups. Scrapping the original designs, a one-page design was chosen to keep navigation to a minimum, and push traffic to the artist's myspace page instead. The final emphasis was on style and simplicity, with clean lines, pseudo-industrial lettering and as uncluttered interface as possible.
Lights needed a new website that they could use to promote their new EP and act as a single point of reference for press, fans, and latest happenings.
The new site encompasses mp3 streaming, blog, RSS for gigs, gallery and highly stylised themes that fit in with the mood of the band.
Works in progress
Fortress studios' website looked like it had been designed in the dark ages - garish colour, poor navigation and repeated text.
The new site takes the idea of the studio, and uses it to form the central theme for the site. Navigation is clear and the site as a whole has undergone a transformation with ajax feeds and dynamic gallery images, all whilst maintaining the original content of the site.
Reputable photographer, Andrew Future, needed a website to host samples of his music and model photography. The main criteria here was to produce a site that allowed very fast navigation and an 'all on one page' design, for ease of use.
The site uses a simple image menu to show images, and will soon be completed with category separators and contact information.
